The first album was good but this is even better - it's a jagged, dissonant black metal journey that's both hypnotic and unsettling. When it's all done I need to remind myself to breathe again.

As I sat listening to this album for the first time, I cried. It triggered so many emotions I could barely handle it. This is exactly the kind of music which pulls at my heart strings. Incredibly beautiful and epic. Sooo windirish but yet so unique !

Литоургиiа réussit l'impensable : faire entrer le black metal dans l'église orthodoxe. S'il y a une dimension dramaturgique (indissociable de tout office religieux), Литоургиiа reste profond, solennel et touche le sublime. Après la sortie de cet album a lieu un Grand Schisme et un larcin : Христофор se fait dépouiller de son propre groupe par Барфоломей et Мартин ; tout ce qui reste ici provient de ces deux hérétiques. Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end.
