about
This is a poem, a very subtle poem of my favourite romanian writer/poet Mihai Eminescu. Though, this is my own and personal interpretation of his text. Feel free also to send me some other interpretations, if someone should discover anything else. This is amazing with the poetry, there are always more clues than only one, it depends on the reader, how he/she understands the metaphors and the phrases used between the rimes.
Herein the reader may wonder, how divinely the poet describes the relationship between man and life. Life is here compared to a female, so gracefully attractive and full of surprise. To one it can be the mirror of what he dreams, yearns and wishes, a mirror, that time breaks and turns to pieces in the end. Some cling so desperately to their life or love or dream that sometimes nothing else matters, like it/she was mute...
A man can be dependant of so many things and illusions in his entire life, but the minor ones are those, which express his relationship to the surroundings. But he may not know about them, as he gets used to do this and that, and every dawn he awakes he concentrates only on bigger answers, that nobody can even talk him in about... So, he follows the course of life, unaware of what he will become, but living with the wish of what he wants to become. And nothing can stay in his way, and there are so many " I don't know why's " and " I don't know what " that, in the end, they don't matter anymore...
lyrics
Although the world would call me free
Each day the more her slave am I
For in her very way to be
There's I don't know what
I don't know why
Already from the day we met
Was my freedom mortal shot
She's but a girl as they, and yet
There's something more, I don't know what
No matter what we speak or do
The moments in sweet silence fly
For somehow there is music, too
When she is mute, I don't know why
So likely to my dying day
To follow her will be my lot
For in her sweet and candid way
There's I don't know why
I don't know what

Литоургиiа réussit l'impensable : faire entrer le black metal dans l'église orthodoxe.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

The first album was good but this is even better - it's a jagged, dissonant black metal journey that's both hypnotic and unsettling. When it's all done I need to remind myself to breathe again. Metal-ur-G
Utterly indescribable new record from Greek metal band Locust Leaves features corkscrewing tempos, manic vocal shifts & dense arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 6, 2017
Suffocating black metal in the Swedish style that mercifully throws in a bit of melody to save the listener from total darkness. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 29, 2017
