about
A real soft one, some of you may think... but this is part of the dualism, life's built on. You think hate can exist without love??? You guess light can be without dark??? Excuse me, you are wrong, if you do think so!
Besides, all sentiments are based on the potential of love and hate.
"Body of clay" is about loss, which unites love and hatred into one unique sentiment: regret. This is about my very death, leaving behind the one, whom I love, whom I adore. I bet most of you know this feeling...
"the cold and never-ending rain", Life itself, demands our tears, for different occasions, for so many moods, so that we have the feeling, we become one with the struggling of a living. It's like we discovered a way to communicate with life. Only thereafter we realize how important the warmth of love can be, in order to keep your balance. Yet, in time, we become more vulnerable and weaker ( the flood devours all ), though our sentiments grow stronger and the inevitable end seems so irrelevant, that, together with that sentiment of love and adoration, death becomes so fantastic, like a fairy-tale ( death becomes angels ) ...and our nothingness slips into oblivion ( defying ...my body of clay ).
Having this sentiments illusionating reality, I cling on to what I preciously have, letting death's angels filling my decaying being. Unable to act in any way. Not seeing an exit from this ( we end up like moles ) she weeps my tears, my essence becomes her suffering ( let me be, darling, tears in your eye...)
lyrics
Cry with my tears
Cry with my pain
Still in the cold
Neverending rain
With one of your kisses
My words you'd freeze
From one of your kisses
My bleeding would cease
Shed all my tears
The flood devours all
The earth, us, rushing...
A shy, whispered call
Death becomes angels
Who won't turn away
Defying all my yearing
And my body of clay
Cry with my crying
You end up like (a) mole
Death loves the angels
Retired into my soul
As I'm drained and welken
My last wish I sigh
Let me be, darling
Tears in your eye.

Литоургиiа réussit l'impensable : faire entrer le black metal dans l'église orthodoxe.
The first album was good but this is even better - it's a jagged, dissonant black metal journey that's both hypnotic and unsettling. When it's all done I need to remind myself to breathe again. Metal-ur-G
The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
Utterly indescribable new record from Greek metal band Locust Leaves features corkscrewing tempos, manic vocal shifts & dense arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 6, 2017
Suffocating black metal in the Swedish style that mercifully throws in a bit of melody to save the listener from total darkness. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 29, 2017
